1. CHAPTER I

This revelation is from the Lord alone, and it is received by those who are to be in the New Jerusalem and acknowledge the Lord as the God of heaven and earth. The Lord is also described as the Word.

verses 1-3 1 , For whom the revelation is.

verses 4-6, It is for them by means of heaven from the Lord alone.

verses 7-8, From the Word the Lord will reveal Himself and what belongs to the Church.

verses 9-11, Further about reception, by whom.

verses 12-16, The Lord is described as the Word and as the Church.

verse 17 , His acknowledgment as Jehovah and the only God, from Whom is everything.

verse 19, 20, This revelation is for those who are to be in the New Jerusalem.

Revelation 1:12-16

12 I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. Having turned, I saw seven golden lampstands.

13 And among the lampstands was one like a son of man, clothed with a robe reaching down to his feet, and with a golden sash around his chest.

14 His head and his hair were white as white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire.

15 His feet were like burnished brass, as if it had been refined in a furnace. His voice was like the voice of many waters.

16 He had seven stars in his right hand. Out of his mouth proceeded a sharp two-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining at its brightest.
